In 2010, the FAW Group increased sales volume by 31.6% year-on-year to 2.56 million units. In the total sales from January to October 2011, either company increased sales volume by 4.3% and 17.7% year-on-year, respectively, sustaining positive growth.

On the other hand, each of the own-brand manufacturers increased sales volume in 2010 from a year earlier. Yet, unit sales during the January-October period of 2011 by FAW Car and FAW Jilin Automobile slightly decreased by 6.6% and 4.2% year-on-year, respectively. In 2011, the own-brand passenger car market is slumping, which is why their sales decreased.
