LMC Automotive Global Light Vehicle Sales Update (February 2018)

- Global Light Vehicle sales fell by 1.3% year-on-year (YoY) in February. The selling rate was slightly lower in February, at 93.6 mn units/year, compared with 94.8 mn units/year in January.
- China was the principal contributor to the global dip in sales, but the Lunar New Year holidays had a significant impact on the market. Western Europe enjoyed another month of solid growth, but the USA Light Vehicle market fell. However, strong growth in Eastern Europe, led primarily by Russia, as well as the recovery in the South American market, helped to mitigate the global decline.
