The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced the production and sales volumes of passenger cars (including sedans, SUVs, MPVs but not minivans) for August 2021.
Retail
August retail sales of passenger cars totaled 1.453 million units, reflecting a year-over-year (y/y) decrease of 14.7%.
New energy vehicles (NEVs)
In August, wholesale volumes of NEV passenger cars were 304,000 units, up by 202.3% y/y.
