The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced the production and sales volumes of passenger cars (including sedans, SUVs, MPVs but not minivans) for May 2021.
Retail
May retail sales of passenger cars totaled 1.623 million units, reflecting a year-over-year (y/y) increase of 1.0%.
New energy vehicles (NEVs)
In May, wholesale volumes of NEV passenger cars were 196,000 units, up by 174.2% y/y.
