Production volume of new energy vehicles (excluding vehicles equipped with a lead-acid battery) in November 2018 increased by 41.01% month-over-month (m/m), marking a record high for monthly production. Production volumes of new energy vehicles for electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs) accounted for 81% and 19%, respectively, of the production share. By vehicle type, production volumes of passenger cars, buses, and special-purpose vehicles accounted for 82%, 7% and 11%, respectively, of the share.

In November, production of A0-segment EVs, B-segment PHVs, and plug-in hybrid SUVs (sports utility vehicles) significantly increased. This is because the automakers accelerated the launch of long cruising-range models due to the new energy vehicle subsidy policy promulgated in 2018.
