On March 28, Nanjing Iveco Automobile Co., Ltd. (Nanjing Iveco), a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, opened reservations for the Fidato, an all-new MPV. Prices start at CNY 148,800.
The Fidato is equipped with a π 2.0L VGT (variable geometry turbo) diesel engine developed by SAIC Motor. It delivers a maximum power output of 150PS and a peak torque of 375Nm. Adopting a 9-speed automatic transmission (9AT) from German manufacturer ZF, the vehicle consumes as low as 7.4L of fuel per 100km.
The Fidato has features such as PEPS (Passive Entry Passive Start), push start, smart windows, and smart wipers. It boasts a perception system consisting of 4 HD cameras. With an HD rear view camera (RVC), front and rear radars, and a panoramic imaging system, there are no blind spots left.
The vehicle adopts a new design language of futuristic technology. The front looks like a starry sky coupled with a streamlined body shape. Rear fog lamps are combined with column-shaped twin taillamps. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, the design also makes it easier for pedestrians and vehicles behind to identify road conditions when visibility is low due to rain or fog.
The Fidato offers two options for the wheelbase and two options for the roof height, allowing for a variety of body sizes which may contain 2 to 9 seats.

On March 17, Ford announced in documents posted on the U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) site it is recalling more than 1.5 million vehicles in the U.S. in two separate actions to fix leaky brake hoses and windshield wiper arms that can break. Two largest recalls are as follows;
• 1,280,726 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKX midsize cars MY 2013-2018
Ford says that the front brake hoses can rupture and leak brake fluid, increasing brake pedal travel and make stopping distances longer.
Ford will mail owner notification letters starting April 17 and dealers will replace the hoses.
• 222,454 F-150 pickup trucks MY 2021
Ford warns that the windshield wiper arms can break.
Owners will be notified starting March 27, and dealers will replace the arms if needed.

On March 8, Ford introduced the new Puma ST Powershift SUV with the most powerful version of the multi-award-winning 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Enhanced using 48-volt mild hybrid technology to deliver up to 170 PS peak power and 248 Nm peak torque, the engine is combined with a paddle-shift-operable, seven-speed, dual-clutch Ford Powershift transmission.
The mild hybrid system engages energy recovery more quickly than in other applications for faster recharging of the 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack. This enables the belt-driven integrated starter/generator (BISG) to offer a longer boost period of torque supplementation for enhanced performance at lower engine rpm. A Puma ST Powershift chassis shared with the award-winning Puma ST sharpens responses using a rear suspension twist-beam rated at 2,000 Nm/deg torsional stiffness. Ford’s patented force vectoring springs improve its stability, agility, and responsiveness.
Standard highlights include a wireless charging pad, heated windscreen, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, Ford’s SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system, etc. Available driver assistance technologies include “Pre-Collision Assist with Active Braking”, active park assist, cross traffic alert with active braking, and intelligent speed limiter.
