Toyoda Gosei announced that the Gujarat Plant of Toyoda Gosei Minda India (TGMIN), an Indian subsidiary of Toyoda Gosei, began operations in October 2018. The Gujarat Plant will supply airbags, the demand for which is growing with the increasing automobile production and stricter safety regulations in India, plus supply steering wheels, weatherstrips and other parts to Suzuki Motor Gujarat. It has a ground area of 75,000 square meters and a total building area of 18,000 square meters. There will be approximately 330 employees as of end of March 2021. On August 25, Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. announced that it will acquire a 100% stake in Pecval Industria Co., Ltd. (Pecval), a manufacturer of automotive interior and exterior parts in Brazil.
Currently, Pecval is jointly owned by Toyoda Gosei and Shimizu Industry Co., Ltd.
Toyoda Gosei will acquire full equity interest from Shimizu by December 2017.
Toyoda Gosei has two business locations in Brazil.
Pecval Industria Ltda., located in Indaiatuba, produces instrument panel components and radiator grilles, among other components.
GDBR Industria e Comercio de Componentes Quimicos e de Borracha Ltda., located in Itapetininga, produces instrument panel components, side airbags, door weatherstrips and glass runs, and other components.

On August 24, Toyoda Gosei Automotive Sealing Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (TGASMX), a Mexican subsidiary of Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd., announced plans to invest USD 34.5 million (approximately JPY 3.6 billion) to increase its current weatherstrip production capacity at least 50% by 2020.
TGASMX’s sales in FY 2015 reached USD 60 million (approximately JPY 6.3 billion), with forecasted sales for FY 2020 to reach USD 124 million (approximately JPY 13 billion) in sales as automobile production increases in North America, especially in Mexico.

The company’s products include opening trim weatherstrips, door weatherstrips, door glass runs, and other types of weatherstrips.
Today, the Toyoda Gosei group provides a variety of automotive products, with an international network of approximately 100 plants and offices in 18 countries.
