On April 17, Bosch and Nikola informed that they have jointly developed a fuel cell drive for the electric heavy-duty truck Nikola Two Alpha. Nikola Trucks are equipped with Bosch innovations such as the Mirror Cam System, Perfectly Keyless and the Servotwin steering system.
The technology and system approach of the presented truck is transferable to all trucks of the Nikola Motor Company. These include the Nikola One with a sleeping cabin and the Nikola Tre, a hydrogen-powered truck for the European market. Engineering teams from Bosch locations in the USA and Germany have spent more than 220,000 hours developing to implement the idea of the Nikola Motor Company.
Bosch and Nikola have jointly developed the drive as well as the vehicle chassis in which it is integrated. The vehicle is equipped with numerous functions that require enormous computing power. This supplies the central control unit, the vehicle control unit (VCU) from Bosch.

On April 17, Opel informed that it is further developing its business strategy in selected European markets to become more agile, flexible and efficient as outlined in the PACE! strategic plan.
In a further step to foster growth, Opel is planning to run the business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia through the highly recognised and successful Emil Frey Group as the local independent import partner.
A corresponding contract has now been signed. Upon the closing of the planned transaction, the Emil Frey Group will become the wholesale importer for above markets by acquiring the Opel business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The current Opel employees covering the related Opel businesses will be transferred according to the applicable laws (to be communicated separately), latest at the date when the transaction is completed.
This transaction (and the launch of the new business model) is primarily subject to the official antitrust approval of the respective authorities.
