Kongsberg Automotive announced that its Fluid Transfer Systems (FTS) has won incremental business and secured an extension contract estimated annualized revenue of EUR 4 million, and estimated lifetime revenue worth EUR 20 million for the company’s world-leading high-temperature fuel line: Fluoro-comp. Fluoro-comp uses innovative, state-of-the-art construction to offer unrivaled thermal insulation to ensure safety and security. The under-hood flexible fuel hose Fluoro-comp will be delivered to various North American SUVs and Passenger Car vehicles from the FTS facility in Grand River, Ohio. Production is slated to start from September 2021 and will run for a minimum of four years. (From a press release on September 15, 2021)

On September 14, KAMAZ announced that at Naberezhnye Chelny, a large-scale reengineering project under way at the KAMAZ press and stamping plant: there is a new modern production facility built to produce frames with high corrosion resistance and strength properties for a new KAMAZ truck line.
This production facility has three lines: an automatic line producing frame side rails, a line painting frame side rails and frame parts, as well as a frame assembly line. The quality of the frames is now higher thanks to the modern equipment and tools.
An automated component transfer system will deliver components to the desired position timely and transmit data on the current remainder on the assembly line. The new technologies will enable to produce frames for all KAMAZ vehicles produced by the company. The new production is 70% automated. The production capacity is 65 thousand frames per year.

Reported on September 11, 2021, the northern province of Vinh Phuc, Vietnam has set a goal of recording 70 enterprises eligible to become first-tier and second-tier suppliers for manufacturers of autos, motorcycles and electronic products, as well as partial suppliers for large export enterprises by 2030. This is included in a plan issued by the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc Province on a Government Resolution for solutions to develop supporting industries, which is seen as an important solution to attract investment, helping the province fulfill its goal of becoming a major center of the auto and motorcycle manufacturing industry.
To achieve such goals, the provincial People's Committee has worked out solutions including carrying out projects to boost the development of supporting industries. The province also plans to offer preferential rates for corporate income tax with investment projects on products on the list of supporting industrial products prioritized for development. More support will be given to enterprises that engage in innovation, research development, and technology transfer.
Businesses in the province are encouraged to expand cooperation with domestic and foreign partners to participate in the global value chain. They are also advised to step up promotion to attract investment from large corporations.
