On February 6, SWM Motors officially launched the SWM Tiger EDi (Electronic Data Interchange) midsize SUV, its first extended-range electric vehicle (EREV). The new vehicle is based on a range extension powertrain (with a DHT200 hybrid assembly and a 1.5L engine) under the EDi platform jointly developed by SWM Motors and FinDreams Powertrain (a BYD subsidiary), and is available in four models (each with an optional 5- or 7-seater configuration), with prices ranging from CNY 99,900 to 123,900.
For the powertrain, the vehicle features an EDi-platform-dedicated 1.5L engine (maximum power 75kW, peak torque 126Nm, and combined fuel consumption 2.06L/100km under the WLTC standard), mated to a permanent magnet synchronous motor (105kW/210Nm) and an 8.8kWh lithium iron phosphate storage battery. It has a front-engine FWD layout, with an electric mode range of 51km under the NEDC standard (46km under the WLTC standard) and a combined range of 1,000km.
The vehicle measures 4,605mm long, 1,815mm wide and 1,810mm (or 1,825mm) high, with a wheelbase of 2,780mm.
When it comes to the standard configuration, the vehicle features ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), and Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Some models feature Driver Keyless Entry, One-Touch Start, and Cruise Control System.

On February 2, SAIC-Hongyan’s in-house developed Level 2+ intelligent heavy-duty trucks were delivered in volume for the first time, and will be officially used for China-wide trunk line logistics transportation.
The trucks are equipped with not only regular driving assistance such as Electronic Brake System (EBS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), but also intelligent devices such as 360-degree Surround View, Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Tire Emergency Safety System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Blind Spot Detection and Driver Behavior Monitoring System, effectively reducing the risk of accidents.
For the characteristics of large quantity and long distance of trunk logistics transportation, the trucks also feature high-precision map and high-precision positioning technologies, which, coupled with the AMT automated shift technology (saves 10% fuel compared with the conventional AMT technology), can realize automated control of upshift, downshift, acceleration and deceleration with full-speed optimal control as well as automated overtaking, automated lane changing, automated obstacle dodging, etc. by sensing the traffic in the driving direction through radars and cameras, greatly reducing the burden on the driver.
