On March 16, ELIX Polymers announced that Beijing Beiqi Mould & Plastic Technology Co., Ltd. (BMPT) has selected its ABS H801 for the spoilers of the new Mercedes-Benz model GLA and GLB series. This is based on intensive collaboration between BMPT, Mercedes-Benz, Sinochem, and ELIX Polymers. ELIX ABS H801 has high stiffness, heat, and impact resistance, as well as excellent paintability. The density of this material is 4% lower than the previously used PC/ABS grades for this application, which means important weight reductions can be achieved.
Both the tensile modulus (2400 MPa) and flexural modulus (2300 MPa) of ELIX ABS H801 are higher than many PC/ABS grades with a greater PC content. The excellent performance of the ELIX ABS H801 material in glue joint assembly enables using the same material for both exterior painted parts such as “outer skin” as well as reinforcement interior parts.

On February 21, Chery’s Exeed high-end sub-brand officially launched the new Stellar mid-to-large-size flagship SUV, which is available in six 2WD and 4WD models, with prices ranging from CNY 152,800 and 202,800.
The new vehicle is based on the M3X Architecture 2.0, with production at the plant in Qingdao, Shandong.
In terms of appearance, the vehicle features a “Light Aesthetics” design language and a “Star Window” borderless grille in the front profile, coupled with X-shaped starship daytime running lights, a warplane cockpit-like slide-back roof, and a warplane tail spoiler.
The vehicle measures 4,781mm long, 1,920mm wide and 1,671mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,815mm.
For the powertrain, the vehicle is equipped with a 2.0TGDI turbocharged engine (maximum power 192kW and peak torque 400Nm), mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The 4WD models are equipped with the new Feiyu chassis with advanced features such as the CDC electromagnetic suspension system, the Soft Stop system, a hydraulic chassis vibration isolation system, an all-terrain technology system, an all-scenario intelligent control 4WD system and an intelligent drive-by-wire brake system as the core.
In standard configuration, the vehicle features a 24.6-inch true curved display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 intelligent chip, Lion 5.0, and 540-Degree HD Panoramic View (transparent chassis). Some models feature a 50-inch imaging AR-HUD and DMS (Driver Monitoring system).

On January 31, Hyundai announced that the new, all-electric 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6, which launches in the U.S. this spring, has completed final U.S. Environmental Protection Agency testing with the IONIQ 6 SE Long Range RWD trim receiving an EPA-estimated range of 361 miles.
The IONIQ 6 SE AWD achieved an EPA-estimated electric range of 316 miles.
EPA testing also confirmed a 140 combined MPGe rating for the IONIQ 6 SE RWD Long Range.
IONIQ 6’s 140 combined MPGe rating matches the two Lucid Air models that are at the top of Fueleconomy.gov’s 2023 Top Ten Vehicles list.
IONIQ 6’s ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.22 is assisted by a low nose, active air flaps, wheel gap reducers, elliptical wing-inspired spoiler with winglet, slight boattail structure, separation traps on both sides of the rear bumper, full underbody cover, deflectors and reduced wheel-arch gaps.
