On March 21, Hyundai Motors India launched the Hyundai Verna for a starting price of INR 1.09 million (1.5 L gasoline engine) and going to INR 1.74 million (Turbo).
The sedan comes with a 1.5 l MPi gasoline engine with a capacity of 1,497 cc which produces a power of 84.4 kW at 6,300 rpm and maximum torque of 143.8 Nm at 4,500 rpm while the 1.5 GdI turbo 1,482 cc engine produces a maximum power of 117.5 kW at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 253 nm at 1,500~3,500 rpm. The sedan can offer a fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl ~20.6 kmpl.
The new Verna comes with 17 Hyundai Smart Sense – level 2 ADAS features which include automated sensing technology with radars, sensors, and cameras, forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist-car, smart cruise control with stop and go etc. It is further equipped with 65 advanced safety features, including 6 airbags, hill start assists control (HAC), EPB (electric parking brake), ECM (electrochromic mirror), cornering lamps, etc.
The sedan is 4,535 mm long, 1,765 mm wide and 1,475 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm.

On February 24, Volkswagen announced that the new Amarok will officially go on sale in South Africa on March 18, 2023. The new Volkswagen Amarok, which was designed in Germany and Australia, will be built in South Africa. The new Amarok Single Cab retail is planned to start in Q2, 2023. In South Africa, the new Volkswagen Amarok range will be available in four trim lines: Amarok, Life, Style, PanAmericana, and Aventura. It is also available in a single and double cab.
In South Africa, the new Amarok will be available in four turbo diesel (TDI) engines. The base specification engine is a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter TDI delivering 110 kW. The next engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TDI delivering 125 kW. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will be offering a four-cylinder TDI engine with 2.0 liters of cubic capacity and bi-turbocharging which develops 154 kW of power. The new top TDI engine is the 3.0-liter V6 which develops a power output of 184 kW.
At 5,350 mm, the new Amarok is 96 mm longer than its predecessor. A wheelbase of 3,270 mm represents an increase of 173 mm which provides more room. The off-road capabilities of the Amarok are also enhanced by much greater wading depth which has increased to 800 mm (previously 500 mm). The maximum payload has increased from a ton to 1.16 tons.
The new digital cockpit and a vertically-aligned display unit with a 10 or 12-inch screen, offer a better view and extensive control options. It has driving assistance features such as an area view 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, rear traffic alert, electronic parking brake, blind spot detection, evasive steering, etc. The price starts from ZAR 599,000 and goes up to ZAR 1,105,000.

On January 17, Tata Motors announced the repositioning of the Nexon EV portfolio by bringing in changes in pricing and enhancing the driving range. The Nexon EV range now starts at INR 1.45 million and goes till INR 1.69 million while the Nexon EV max range now starts from INR 1.65 million and goes to 1.89 million.  
The range of the Nexon EV MAX variants has been enhanced to 453 km (MIDC), from January 25, 2023, onwards. This range enhancement will be offered to current Nexon EV MAX owners through a software upgrade, at dealerships, from February 15, 2023.
The company also launched a Nexon EV MAX XM trim in the portfolio at a price of INR 1.65 million, this variant will come equipped with features such as an electronic parking brake, automatic climate control, electronic stability program with i-VBAC.
