Faurecia SE announced that it has presented ASANA Coach solution, created with a smart algorithm, was designed by cognitive and sport scientists to help users feel more comfortable after any driving distance at CES 2023. It uses an All-in-One seat sensor to identify potential physical pain and then activates corrective actions, such as massages, haptic vibrations, seat position adjustments and personalized sounds via integrated headphones in the headrest to alleviate any discomfort. The seat sensors can also help with safety features like driver monitoring and occupant detection. Next steps involve a system that records and processes the driver’s current health status, using sensors that measure pulse and breathing rhythms. It will detect alertness, impending drowsiness and/or stress levels. Based on the information received, the system can immediately play music, spread refreshing fragrance or change the interior lighting to help rectify a potentially risky situation. On January 5, VinFast and Vayyar Imaging announced a partnership, at CES 2023, to enhance driving experience and safety by integrating in-cabin radar technology into the latest VF 6 and VF 7 models. The technology helps detect and alert when children are left in the car, ensuring a safer journey for all passengers. VinFast will integrate Vayyar's in-cabin 4D imaging radar technology into VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs. The Vayyar platform will provide a competitive edge with classification-based Child Presence Detection (CPD) to protect the smallest passengers from preventable hot car tragedies.
The high-resolution platform's wide field of view makes it one of the optimal solutions, allowing it to cover the entire interior of a passenger vehicle cabin as well as all footwells and the open trunk. It classifies each seat's occupant, triggering an alarm only if one or more children are left in the car. Robust in all lighting conditions regardless of line of sight, the technology also ensures privacy by design while preventing false alarms that negatively impact user experience.
