Faurecia announced that it has acquired a majority stake in the Swedish company Creo Dynamics, which provides innovative acoustics and Active Noise Control (ANC) solutions. Creo Dynamics technologies are fully complementary to the audio competences of Faurecia Clarion Electronics which include smart headrests, active surfaces, tuning algorithms and digital sound enabling an immersive sound experience and personalized sound bubble. Creo Dynamics provides innovative solutions in acoustics, fluid dynamics and smart structures to customers in various industries, primarily automotive and aerospace. Through its unique expertise in automotive acoustics and control algorithms, the company develops state-of-the-art active noise control for vehicle interiors. On March 8, China-based Daimay Automotive, manufacturer of visors, armrests and central consoles for the automotive industry, laid the first stone of what will be its second production plant in Coahuila, Mexico, for which it is investing USD 10 million.
Beginning production in January 2020, the new 21,367-square-meter plant will manufacture between 50,000 and 100,000 automotive seat headrests per month.
The company’s original plant in Coahuila employs 1,400 people and manufactures 35-40,000 automotive visors daily.
Once the production of the new plant begins, the company will build a third facility to produce central consoles and automotive doors.
The company OEM customers include Toyota, Honda, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

On February 25, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. announced the launch of Glyd, a premium tech-based e-mobility service in Mumbai on select routes.
Glyd has partnered with Vodafone-Idea Limited, Cisco Systems Limited and other service & content providers to launch these services in Mumbai. Mahindra also flagged off the first batch of 10 eVeritos, the company’s electric sedan, in the city.
Glyd will offer a premium in-commute experience to office going executives, powered by several connected car features such as web-conferencing, curated entertainment and music content from selective partners.
In addition, industry first features such as privacy screen, air purifier for a rejuvenating journey and strain free lighting will provide a one-of-its-kind experience to the commuters. To offer stress free commute, vehicles will be equipped with comfort friendly features such as bolstered seats, wrap-around headrest and custom designed armrests.
