On August 11, Sterling Tools announced that it has approved the closure of operations of joint venture company named Sterling Fabory India Pvt. Ltd. The said JVC was formed in 2010 pursuant to a Joint Venture Arrangement with Fabory Masters Fasteners Group B.V.. a Netherland based Company. The said JVC was incorporated in 2010 with the object of trading in fasteners and C Parts.
It is also planning to make Sterling Gtake E-Mobility Limited, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of company. Sterling Tools Limited holds 8,446,000 shares which constitute 99.88 % share Capital of Sterling Gtake E-Mobility Limited. The Board has also accorded its approval for getting the remaining 10,000 shares transferred in its name and make that company a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Sterling Tools.

On April 30, the Kenworth Chillicothe was honored for its Tension Control Tooling Improvement project.
The plant’s project team upgraded the torque fastener tool to achieve enhanced efficiency for 5th wheel installations in Kenworth Class 8 trucks.
The Kenworth Chillicothe project partnered with Atlas Copco to develop a Direct Current (DC) electric tension control fastener that is reportedly the first of its kind in the fastener industry.
The DC electric tension control fastener is more robust and streamlines manufacturing.
The new tooling technologies used in this fastener are expected to be utilized at all Kenworth assembly plants.
Kenworth Renton was recognized for its Sealed Beam Headlamp Aimer project.
The plant’s project team developed custom tooling to enhance efficiency for the installation of headlamps in Kenworth legacy models.
The Kenworth Renton plant used 3D printing technology during final design processes to make replacement parts for the new tools both cost effective and readily available.
Kenworth’s medium duty trucks are produced at the PACCAR Ste. Thérèse, Quebec, manufacturing facility.

Sundram Fasteners Limited announced that during the year ended on March 31, 2021, it incurred INR 1.4 billion towards capital expenditure as a part of capacity expansion of existing lines of business.
