On February 15, UzAuto Motors announced that 12 new high-tech localization projects were implemented by Uzavtosanoat JSC to organize the production of the Onix car. New factories with a total cost of USD 312 million were built and high-tech production lines were put into operation. It will create about 4,500 new jobs.
Engines have been localized at the UzAuto Motors Powertrain enterprise. As a result, the total percentage of localization level for Chevrolet Onix and Tracker cars will increase. 
Production of cast iron parts has been launched at the new foundry "KOVA Foundry". The enterprise with a capacity of 18,000 tons per year will increase the added value of raw materials up to 10 times and replace the import of USD 21 million of spare parts. The production of side windows for Chevrolet Onix and Tracker cars was mastered at the UzKoram-Co LLC enterprise.
  UzAuto also localized radiators with a modern engine cooling system, a multi-functional steering wheel with car control functions, and an airbag.
 The establishment of a fully automated hot stamping workshop at the UzSungwoo plant allowed the localization of 20 types of import-substituting components for Chevrolet Tracker and Onix models, worth about UZS 214.5 billion. The new "UzSungwoo" metal hot processing line provides the production of 2.4 million pieces of metal products.

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (Tata AutoComp) displayed a wide range of parts that it has already localized and is offering to the EV segment at the Auto Expo Component Show in New Delhi. The display includes parts of the EV drivetrain like the battery tray, plastic cell module carriers, cooling tubes, and the Battery Cover. It also has on display a range of motors for electric vehicles which include the motor, controller, reducer, and integrated drivetrain. Tata AutoComp also displayed some products that it is working on and will soon be launched in the market, which include the DC-DC converter, off-board charger, and reducer as well as some products which will be part of the vehicle electronics. On the Thermal management, Tata AutoComp showcased its prowess in engine cooling systems, HVAC, and passenger comfort management, as well as cooling modules for the battery and various components required in the EV drivetrain. BorgWarner announced that lightweight electronically controlled silicone oil fan clutches of Warner Shenglong (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. (Warner Shenglong) have started production. The product is scheduled for official mass production on Oct. 31, 2022 and will be applied to both the Shanhaipao and the Tank 500 of Great Wall Motors. Founded in 1998, Warner Shenglong is a joint venture between BorgWarner and Ningbo Shenglong Automotive Powertrain System Co., Ltd. dedicated to the R&D, manufacturing and sales of engine cooling system components, mainly producing silicone oil fan clutches for passenger car applications. Since H2 2020, Warner Shenglong has been cooperating with Great Wall Motor to expand its business for passenger cars, and has introduced a new GenII production line that manufactures silicone oil fan clutches specifically for passenger cars after one year of R&D.
