On December 26, multiple sources reported that Jupiter Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons (JWL) will debut its electric vehicles at the Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023. The company plans to manufacture its e-LCV and e-MCV range in India and expand to other key markets in the future.
Jupiter Wagons (JWL) is a manufacturer of wagons, brake systems, and brake discs for high-speed passenger coaches, and railway and engineering equipment.

In an investor update, Endurance Technologies announced that it will set up a new facility for embedded electronics manufacturing in Aurangabad, which is expected to start in Q1, FY24.
 It has increased brake disc production capacity to 675,000 units per annum from 375,000 units per annum (p.a.). 
 For the two-wheeler ABS market, production is expected to reach an installed capacity of 400,000 units p.a. by January 2023. An additional 200,000 capacity will be ready by June 2023. Further, an increase in capacity is planned to a 1.2 million units p.a. by Q3, FY25.

Continental AG (Continental) announced that it has developed the green first brake caliper for disc brakes, namely the “Green Caliper”, which is more compact and significantly lighter than previous designs and has a lower residual brake torque. The new Green Caliper can save up to 2 kg in weight per brake caliper and plus up to 3 more kilograms per brake disc. The decreased residual brake torque between brake pad and disc also helps to increase the range of an EV. (From a press release dated November 24, 2022)
