On February 2, Renault India upgraded its entire range including Kiger, Triber, and Kwid to meet the new BS-VI Step 2 emission norms. Further, all the vehicles will be equipped with a self-diagnostic device. The device will constantly monitor the vehicle’s emission levels while driving, along with other critical emission devices such as the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors.
It has also added multiple features including an electronic stability program (ESP), hill start assist (HSA), traction control system (TCS), and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as standard features. Eberspaecher Group (Eberspaecher) announced that its subsidiary, Purem by Eberspaecher, has introduced innovative exhaust technology that meets the Euro 7 emission standards. Its utilization of Urea injection solutions also supports quiet and clean mobility, particularly in diesel and commercial vehicles. For example, the Compact Urea Processing Unit counteracts the deposition of urea and helps reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The cold-start phase has a major influence on this as the exhaust-emission conversion’s chemical processes occur only once a particular minimum temperature of the catalytic converter has been reached. Meanwhile, the Active Heating portfolio from Purem by Eberspaecher curtails the cold-start phase and helps increase the temperature in the low-load range. The Eberspaecher EHC Fractal Heater, as an example, is able to cut can reduce pollutants in diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles by up to 90%. Further options in the product family include the Eberspaecher EHC Lamella Heater and the Heated Tunnel Mixer. (From a press release dated November 10, 2022)
