On April 17, Hyundai introduced its all-new eighth-generation 2020 Sonata at the New York International Auto Show.
Based on Hyundai’s innovative third-generation vehicle platform, production of the 2020 Sonata starts in September 2019 at the company’s plant in Montgomery, Alabama, and retail sales begin in October.
The 2020 Sonata represents Hyundai’s new focus on creating emotional value using technology, proportion, and styling that includes a chrome strip with graduated LED Daytime Running Lights embedded with Hidden Lighting Lamps.
Customers can choose between a 2.5-liter GDI engine that produces 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque, and a 1.6-liter turbocharged T-GDI engine that produces 180 hp pand 195 lb-ft of torque, both mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Sonata is equipped with Hyundai’s latest SmartSense advanced driver assistance systems that use three radar sensors, 12 ultrasonic sensors and five cameras to support standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Advanced Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go features and optional Highway Driving Assist.
The 2020 Sonata supports Hyundai’s Digital Key, which utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, via a dedicated smartphone app.

On April 17, Lincoln unveiled the all-new Corsair two-row SUV at the 2019 New York International Auto Show.
The Corsair will be built alongside the Ford Escape at Louisville Assembly Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, arriving in dealerships in fall 2019.
A 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque is standard, while a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine that produces 280 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque is optional, both mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission and available with Lincoln’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system is available with both engines.
The 2020 Corsair features technologies such as Phone-As-A-Key, Head-Up Display and standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360 driver-assist features that include pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind spot information system, a lane-keeping system, rear backup camera and auto high-beam lighting.
An available upgrade, Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Plus, adds adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, lane centering technology, speed sign recognition, evasive steer assist, reverse brake assist, and active park assist plus.

On April 15, Audi of America announced it will introduce the second-generation 2019 Q3 at the New York International Auto Show.
The all-new Q3 comes standard with a new 2.0-liter TFSI engine, which generates 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, allowing the Q3 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.0 seconds.
Every Q3 is now standard equipped with quattro all-wheel drive, with electronic wheel-selective torque control that adds additional traction across each axle through individual wheel braking application.
Standing 1.5 inches taller, 3.8 inches longer and nearly an inch wider than its predecessor, the new Q3 is more substantial on the outside and offers more useable passenger and cargo space inside.
Driver Assistance features include standard Audi pre sense, which prepares a vehicle for impact by beginning to close the side windows and panoramic sunroof, as well as pretensioning the front safety belts.
Available technologies include side assist with lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic assist, adaptive cruise control with stop & go, parking steering assist and a top view camera system.
