On March 14, McLaren Applied announced the development of its revolutionary 5G intelligent edge antenna technology for a wide range of moving vehicle applications. McLaren Applied’s Halo 300 offers not only increased performance but lower cost and complexity as well. Installation and maintenance considerations are greatly reduced with dual modems built in, fewer cables, and no need for a separate router or access point.
The technology offers the flexibility and future-proofing necessary to take advantage of near-term developments in autonomous travel, software-defined vehicles, and the Internet of Things. With edge computing, integrated eSIMs, the built-in power to support additional applications, and a CANBUS interface, Halo 300 provides a fast and reliable data network.

On February 22, Lunewave, manufacturer of proprietary Luneburg lens antennae and radar, announced that it is set to complete two joint development projects with leading American and German automakers. The Luneburg lens hardware and accompanying software algorithms provide significant advantages over planar array radar. The radar is capable of a 150-degree field-of-view, an enhanced range of 300-plus meters, and industry-leading resolution at large scan angles.  Lunewave's radar can detect objects surrounding a car with six times the resolution available today, even at long range and in poor weather, capabilities that are normally only achievable with multiple sensors. In addition, the radar can detect hard-to-see persons and objects such as a child running behind a reversing vehicle or a tire on the road under an overpass.

Lumax Auto Technologies updated about the new launches made in the different categories during the Q3 FY 2023 ending December. Under the passenger vehicle categories, the company launched gear shift lever assembly - AT antenna feeder cable assembly for the HyCross SUV of Toyota Motors, and gear shift lever assembly – MT for the Eeco for Maruti Suzuki. Under the commercial vehicle category, it launched gear shift lever assembly – MT for the Force Motors Urbania Van and ball joint assembly for the Tata Motors Signa and Prima.
