On February 1, Cadillac opened reservations for the topline 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing, with deliveries coming later this summer.
Highlights of the two vehicles include unique exterior elements, including detailed primary and secondary grilles, rear spoilers, front splitters, mid-body panels, rear diffusers, fender vents, rocker extensions, Brembo brake calipers, full LED exterior lighting, and underbody panels that support drag reduction.
The CT5-V Blackwing features an upgraded 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful production Cadillac ever.
The CT4-V Blackwing features an evolution of the Cadillac 3.6-liter Twin-Turbo V6 engine that features revised control system software and an improved air intake system to create 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque.
Each engine is hand-built at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly facility in Kentucky, which is then installed at the Lansing Grand River assembly plant.
An upgraded TREMEC six-speed manual transmission is standard in both vehicles, with an available 10-speed automatic transmission as optional.
