Argentina car sales, exports, production up in July 2017

On August 3, Argentina’s Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ADEFA) announced that wholesale sales of 72,684 units in July was 9.3% less than in June, but 38.0% higher than in July 2016.
Between January and July, wholesale sales accounted for 487,556 units, an increase of 22.2% compared with the same period in 2016.
Argentina’s production of 38,169 vehicles in July was 16.1% less than in June, but 1.2% more than July 2016.
Between January and July, the country produced a total of 257,573 units, 1.6% less than the 261,744 units produced in the first seven months of 2016.
In July, 14,522 vehicles were exported, a decrease of 26.3% compared to June, but 12.2% more than in July 2016.
A total of 112,943 vehicles were exported in the first seven months of 2017, 11.2% more than during the same period in 2016.
