沿革

1919年06月	Max Brose氏と化学者Ernst Juhling氏が Metalwerk Max Brose & Co.創設。
1956	Ernst Juhling氏が共同経営者から退く。1957年から同社は個人での経営をスタートさせる。
1968年4月	Max Brose氏死去。娘のGisela Brose氏が経営を引き継ぐ。
1969年	株式会社化。
1971年10月	創設者の孫であるMichael Stoschek氏がCEOに就任。
1982年	Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft に社名変更。
1996年	中国でZhangjigang Xingang Electronics Co., Ltd.と合弁会社を設立。出資比率60% (15百万DM)、VW・Audi・FAW Red Flag向け供給契約。
1997年	メキシコPueblaのカンバン方式工場でVW向けドアモジュールの生産開始。
1997年	ドイツMeeraneでドアモジュールのカンバン方式工場オープン。 VW工場に近接して供給。
1999年	ブラジルCuritibaで、ウインドレギュレーターおよびドアモジュールの生産開始。 VW 「Golf」および「Passat」モデル向けカンバン方式供給。
1999年07月	南アフリカBritsでドアモジュールの合弁設立。 RG Brose Automotive Components (Pty) Ltd.、1999年8月生産開始。
2000年	タイ・バンコクのSummit Laemchagang Auto Body WorkとOpel 「Zafira」向けウインドレギュレーターの製造ライセンス契約締結。
2000年01月	ドイツMeeraneで、ウインドレギュレーターの生産開始。DaimlerChryslerの新型「C-Class」向け。
2000年04月	Siemensと共同でエレクトロニクスのパイロットプロジェクト。ドイツHallstadtでドアシステム工場設立 (投資額31百万ユーロ)。電動モーターおよびシステムの供給。従業員数780名→2003年までに1100名に増員予定。
2000年05月	中国上海市AntingでVWのPassatモデル向けドアモジュール工場稼動。年産40万台予定。合弁会社Shanghai Brose Automotive Components Co., Ltd.。 (1999年設立、折半出資)
2000年07月	Brose Bratislava spol.sr.o. (スロバキア) の設立。
2002年03月	日本での生産開始 (Shiroki Brose 会社)。
2003年09月	ベルギーのGhent工場稼動開始。
2003年10月	カナダにおける最初の生産活動がLondon/Ontario工場でスタート。
2004年02月	Brose Sweden ABを設立。
2004年07月	米国シカゴ工場でドアシステムの生産開始。
2005年09月	サイドドアとリフトゲートのパワークロージャーシステムを商品化。IAAフランクフルト・モーターショーに初出品。
2005年12月	トルコの大手ウィンドレギュレーター会社 Pressan A.S.の株式40%を取得。トルコ他中東市場への拠点をつくる。
2006年01月	Jurgen Otto氏が社長に就任。同社にとって初めて創業家以外からの登用となる。 Torslanda工場でjust-in-sequence方式によるドアシステム生産開始。
2006年06月	Holzgerlingen/Weil im Schonbuch工場でjust-in-sequence生産開始。
2006年10月	シートベルトキャリアを発売し、シートアジャスターのラインナップを拡大。新型BMW 「3 Series」クーペに搭載。
2007年01月	中国長春工場がLear Corporationより品質、納期、競争力の3分野で受賞。
2007年03月	Brose Ltd, CoventryがJaguar/Land RoverのBody & Exteriors Prizeを受賞。
2007年04月	Saarwellingen工場、ポルトガルTondela工場、スペインSta. Margarida工場がFordの"World Excellence Award"を受賞。
2008年04月	Continental AGの電動モーター部門を買収。
2008年08月	韓国のDaeki Corporationと合弁会社Daeki Brose Corporationを設立。
2009年11月	中国の上海に上海実業交通電器有限公司 [Shanghai SIIC Transportation Electric Company Ltd.] と合弁会社を設立。ウィンドレギュレーター、シートシステム、ドアシステムを生産。
2009年12月	Delloyd Electronicsと、ウィンドレギュレーターおよびドアシステムを生産する合弁会社をタイに設立。
2011年02月	万都と合弁会社「Mando-Brose Corporation」を設立し、韓国の電動モーター市場に参入。
2012年10月	中国の北京市大興区に同国7番目となる工場を開設。
2014年05月	ドイツのBremenにドアシステム工場を開設。
2014年10月	米国ミシガン州New Bostonに工場を開設。
2014年11月	イタリアMelfiに同国初となる工場を開設。
2016年08月	米国サウスカロライナ州Spartanburgに工場を開設。
2017年04月	中国の上海工場に地域本社を併設。
2018年12月	中国の太倉市にメカトロニクス工場を開設。
2020年02月	インドPuneに新拠点を開設。
2022年01月	Volkswagenの出資により、ポーランドPolkowiceにシート・内装システム製造会社Brose Sitechを設立。
