-As a subsidiary of the Indonesian conglomerate, Astra International, the Company is the largest automotive component manufacturing and distribution company group in Indonesia. Its largest market segments are original equipment components for automotive OEMs and automotive replacement parts. It also produces components for motorcycles. The Company manufactures and sells engine, body, chassis, electrical and powertrain components.

History

1976 Founded as PT Alfa Delta Motor with businesses in trading of auto industry, assembling of machineries.
1977 PT Alfa Delta Motor changed its name into PT Pacific Western.
1981 PT Pacific Western changed its name into PT Menara Alam Teknik.
1983 Astra acquired PT Summa Surya's share in PT Menara Alam Teknik.
1993 Astra acquired all shares of PT Menara Alam Teknik, and changed the name of PT Menara Alam Teknik, into PT Menara Alam Pradipta.
1996 PT Menara Alam Pradipta changed its name into PT Astra Pradipta Internusa. Then merger of several companies in component manufacturer Astra Group, of which PT Astra Pradipta Internusa & PT Federal Adiwira Serasi (PT Federal Adiwira Serasi as surviving company). PT Astra Federal Adiwira Serasi changed its name into PT Astra Dian Lestari.
1997 PT Astra Dian Lestari changed its name into PT Astra Otoparts.
1998 Listed on Jakarta Stock Exchange (Currently Indonesia Stock Exchange).
2012 Divested all of its stocks or 5% of the company's stocks owned by the Company in PT. EDS Manufacturing Indonesia, which produces automotive wiring harness to YIC Asia Pacific Corporation Ltd.
2013 Acquired 51% of shares of Pakoakuina.
PT MetalArt Astra Indonesia, the joint venture with MetalArt, was set up.
2015 PT. Bridgestone Astra Indonesia was established as a joint venture with Bridgestone.
2018 PT. Toyoda Gosei Indonesia was established as a joint venture with Toyoda Gosei.
