Executive Summary
Six Chinese private equity-backed car manufacturers, BYD Auto, Geely Holding Group, Chery Automobile, Great Wall Motor, Lifan Motors and Jianghuai Automobile (JAC), showcased a total of approximately 80 models including around 32 environmentally friendly vehicles like HEVs and EVs and others around 48 new volume production models at the Beijing Motor Show 2010 (held from April 23 to May 2).
The following outlines a total of 44 models out of approximately 80 exhibited models, extracting 21 ecological models mainly claimed to be their first introductions, and another 23 new mass-production models planned to enter production and sales from 2010 to 2013. In addition, the exhibits by other Chinese private equity-backed car manufacturers will be outlined in future reports.

The model is an EV version of a crossover. The lithium iron phosphate lithium-ion battery which drives the vehicle is manufactured in-house and delivers a rated output of 75kW and maximum torque of 450Nm with combined motor. The fuel efficiency (with electricity expenditure rate) is 21.5kWh/100km. The model has a top speed of 140km per hour and is capable of running up to around 300km on a full charge. At an exclusive charging station, an 80% quick charge is finished in 15min. Using household electricity, a full charge takes seven hours. The overall length, width, height and wheelbase measure 4,560mm, 1,822mm, 1,630mm and 2,830mm, respectively. The gross vehicle mass is 2,295kg. |
| The model is expected to be launched in the US by the end of 2010 with a price tag of around 40,000 USD. There are also plans for it to be released in China with 2010 as the target (an application has been filed for governmental approval). The selling price in China is planned to be approximately 200,000 RMB. |
| A driving test of the e6 TAXI, a taxi version, is planned to start in limited areas such as Shenzhen city, Guangdong province. The exhibition included a 220V charging station (which costs a little less than 10,000 RMB to manufacture) and a quick charge station (also costs around one million RMB) as well as the completed vehicle. |
F3DM 2010 model (PHEV) |
The model is a series type PHEV based on the F3 sedan. It is a new version for public users, with a new solar panel sunroof, based on a conventional F3DM which has been sold exclusively for fleet users since 2008. It was released in March 2010 with a price tag of 169,800 RMB. |
| A full charge by household electricity takes nine hours, and an 80% quick charge at an exclusive charging station is finished in 15min. It is capable of running 60km in the EV mode, and 330km as a HEV on a full charge. The top speed is 150km/h. The energy efficiency marks 16kWh/100km. The overall length, width and height measure 4,533mm, 1,705mm and 1,520mm. |

It takes 45 minutes to charge the battery quickly and fully at an exclusive charging facility, and six to eight hours to charge the battery normally. It cruises up to 160km at a constant speed on a full charge. The top speed is 120km/h. The energy efficiency (electricity consumption rate) is 14kWh/100km. |
