| Makoto Sakai is president and CEO of Marklines Co., Ltd. Sakai began his automotive career at Nissan Motors in 1977, where he held a wide range of assignments in the purchasing division, including chief buyer of body parts, leader of the task force team for cost reduction of stamping die. In 1991 he transferred to Japan Asia Investment Company, one of the major Japanese venture capitals, covering Asian countries. He was responsible for consultation and evaluation of investment projects. | |
| Sakai has sales experience of automotive components as Isuzu Commercial Director for Engine and Energy Management System of Delphi Automotive System Japan from 1999 to 2000. After managing a portal site operating firm for after market motorcycle parts, in 2000. In Jan.2001, Sakai founded Marklines Co., Ltd. | |
| Sakai graduated from Kyushu University in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and earned MBA from the University of Illinois in 1990, sponsored by Nissan. He was born in Saga prefecture in 1954. He is married and has two children. | |
